But you're right it's a well kept secret and I PD all the people that pull into that big farm south of it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24871932.post-60439429378142261642009-11-14T12:22:06.833-08:002009-11-14T12:22:06.833-08:00Thanks for sharing! R Apples is still selling cauliflower and potatoes, I think. I've never had Boscoop--what do they taste like?

Lo--People tend to learn about R Apples through word-of-mouth, I've noticed. I'm glad I found this place. I don't know about their farming practices, though.Mrs. M. https://www.blogger.com/profile/11988934733961380885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24871932.post-74007042648149343922009-11-10T14:01:47.130-08:002009-11-10T14:01:47.130-08:00Oh, wow -- I didn't think anyone knew about &q...Oh, wow -- I didn't think anyone knew about "R" apples! We didn't live far from their farm when we kept house in Germantown. We used to pick there whenever we had the chance!

Any idea what sort of farming practices they use? One thing I will admit I love about Barthel's is that they use sustainable pest management ... not so sure about others in the area.Lohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02627131190832189839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24871932.post-3514956423441167072009-11-10T08:40:52.895-08:002009-11-10T08:40:52.895-08:00Yum! He sells apples, and sometimes apple cider, apple juice, onions, potatoes, pears and squash. But mostly apples, in big 3 kg bags. I like the Boscoop variety. :-)Rozminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09549603103422415401noreply@blogger.com
